Birak ‘26: 30 Years of People. Projects. Partners.

TRCB Team on the front balcony of our new office

30 YEARS OF PEOPLE. PROJECTS. PARTNERS.

TRCB is marking 30 years in practice by celebrating 30 projects that showcase the breadth, quality, and enduring impact of TRCB Architecture.

Founded as Taylor Robinson in 1995 and incorporating Broderick Architects and Chaney Architecture in 2018, TRCB was ranked by Business News in 2025 as WA’s #1 architectural practice.

The projects we are celebrating over the coming months showcase the achievements of hundreds of practitioners and staff who have brought the practice’s creative vision to life. Together, they form the TRCB story – one that contributes to the broader narrative of Western Australian architecture since the turn of the century.

Follow us on LinkedIn or Instagram to enjoy a selection of well-known projects from the early years of the practice, as well as more recent TRCB contributions that continue to shape Perth and Western Australia’s architectural story.

We take great pride in the legacy of TRCB and are energised by the future of our practice, our profession, and our community.

New Commission: ADAPTATION OF PERTH TOWN HALL UNDERCROFT

TRCB is excited by our recent commission to work with the City of Perth to design the adaptation of the Perth Town Hall Undercroft.

Built in 1870, Perth Town Hall is Australia’s only Gothic-style town hall, and the only town hall in the world built by convicts.

The Town Hall has exceptional civic and cultural significance and we are thrilled to be working with the City to create a flexible, event space that properly celebrates its material qualities and beauty.

Project Update: ‘THE CENTENARY BUILDING’ FOR WESLEY COLLEGE

Wesley College’s community and surroundings have evolved and adapted for more than 100 years.

With roof sheeting in progress, we are approximately half-way through the construction of a transformational centenary building project: a world class contemporary sporting facility that would be at home within the beautiful heritage fabric of Wesley College’s South Perth campus.

More than sports, this facility will provide the College with a range of additional teaching and learning spaces, including a whole of school gathering space for events, building community connections and celebrating the College’s rich history.

Project Update: SCOTCH COLLEGE ADMINISTRATION BUILDING

Development approval has been received for Scotch College’s new Senior School Administration Building and northern landscape. The new three-storey building will be a high-quality administrative facility that reflects the College’s values, heritage and aspirations.

The three-storey design future-proofs the compact building footprint while maximising outdoor landscaped spaces for students, staff, and the wider College community.

The design also provides for additional new green space which will become a Memorial Gard for Old Scotch Collegians, a reflective space for students and staff alike, and a commemorative space recognising Scotch students and staff who have served in the armed forces, and lost their lives in the service of their country.
