Raine Square

Date: Current

Charter Hall’s redevelopment of Raine Square will expand the well-connected centre into a $750M entertainment and retail precinct, capitalising on the proximity and accessibility to the major rail and bus station networks, Yagan Square, Perth City Link and Perth Arena.

The masterplan, which has been a collaboration between Taylor Robinson Chaney Broderick and Cox, will incorporate a new hotel, various restaurants and bars and a multi-screen cinema complex. The planning strategy aims to address the site’s four street frontages, increase public access and thoughtfully integrate the significant heritage buildings.

New laneways and entrances from William Street, together with enhancements to the existing entrances, will increase the site permeability, allowing a far greater level of public access. The new hotel will anchor this prominent intersection, while the complete refurbishment of the retail and food offer, along with the addition of a cinema at the upper level, will provide a vibrant entertainment hub for the city.

With a DA recently submitted, construction is anticipated to commence in 2017 and the project is set to be delivered in multiple stages.
